Your message is timely and important. Satire is political speech of the most vital kind. In many parts of the world, poets and playwrights are feared and sometimes murdered by the powers they hold up to public ridicule. We need our modern jesters to deflate us when we get too blown up in our own self-righteousness and lose sight of our foibles.

What I do find irresponsible is your inclusion of the word "woke" in the central statement of your article: This is a snowflake, woke, totalitarian infamnia — the idea that a person has the right to always feel emotionally safe every moment of every day, even from satire. The right wing uses the term as a dog whistle to arouse the base, but according to Merriam-Webster's online dictionary: "The meaning of WOKE is aware of and actively attentive to important facts and issues (especially issues of racial and social justice)."
