Well, that just plain sucks. I hate it that your brain puts you through these changes. Hate it also that the depression deniers (yeah, that's a thing) use your good days to prove the bad ones are all in your head.
It's a puzzle, for sure. Simple depression, major or minor, often fluctuates but doesn't usually include the hugely normal (not manic but just back to real you) days. Which doesn't mean it's not depression, but does mean it's more complicated. Allergies, maybe--have you tried keeping a food/mood diary?
In any case, I think you're wise to use that energy to do the keeping-up-with-life things that will make the bad days suck a little less, and to take advantage of whatever time is left for snuggling and walking in the sunshine and other hipster-hooligan type stuff.
