To ponder personal responsibility and the meaning of one's freedom is a lonely thing to do in today's America. So many these days adhere to the code of "Honor every impulse; act on every feeling."

And you would even have us be on guard for bias in our thoughts. Has no one told you that kind of humility went out of style some decades back?

I'd love to know where you learned these timeless values. My suspicion, knowing you (a little), is that you worked them out in large part on your own.
