This is why I've always loved to teach, because the opportunity is nearly always there, not every day, but often.

And the rest of this--like nearly all your ruminations--reminds me why I have to write. Whenever you get around to publishing a book of your essays, I'll be among the first to buy it.

Samwise Gamgee said it in The Two Towers: adventures are fine things to look back on when you're safe at home, but no sane person really wants to be in one. Excitement is overrated.
