This is hilarious, Julia. Well played, indeed.

My father died at 91 a couple years ago. He and Mom spent their last 15 years in a fabulous retirement community. My favorite of his observations about that stage of life: "I realized that I was getting old when my companions at the dinner table would talk about their ailments and their doctors . . . and I thought it was pretty interesting."
