This is a story only you could tell, and yet one whose potency is in the way it gives a voice to others who are seldom heard.
It's easy for the rest of us to see your worth, Yael, for we see the value you create in everything you write. But like all children who grow up doubting their ability to matter--and it is a multitude of them--you will always have to ask this question. Because those feelings heal but slowly if at all.
My answer to that question in my life is to do the very things you do in yours--to love, to serve, and to create. As long as can see myself in some small way persisting in those actions, I will know (and sometimes even believe) that I'm worth something in the world.
