There's something broken in the whole "social" part of our society. The internet has wrecked the norming process by elevating the marginal, since conflict and sensationalism (and loneliness) generate profits for information brokers.

The incels' narrative does not stand up to the truth of everyday experience. Men and women who show no particular appeal (not rich, fit, tall, etc.) are finding one another all the time, mostly by accident, while others who check all the boxes languish on the vine.
