The military has a rash of chaplains and assorted officers using their authority to force Evangelical Christianity on the forces under their command. It is part of the disease we see in SCOTUS and many other parts of government, where dominionist theology is attacking the foundations of democracy.

Abortion is no one's first choice. It's nearly always a bad option. But life doesn't offer good options in every situation, and sometimes getting an abortion is the least bad choice available. That's what they don't get, these right-wing authoritarian jerks, is that abortions save a lot of lives that would otherwise be destroyed.
