The artist, whatever else he may have been trying to say, does seem to be equating pleasure with damnation. Perhaps she is supposed to be seen as submitting or abandoning herself to that pleasure, thus becoming wanton. Or maybe pleasure is the bait or the path that leads us all into perdition. That would be a plausible interpretation, given the church's attitude toward sex in those days.

The less said about your ex, the better. And his really helpful pastor. If anybody needed proof that religion needs to come with warning labels . . .

Wiccans and other pagans don't wait for the afterlife to see the evidence of salvation and/or damnation. It's all here for the taking.
