Thank you for your comment and your good wishes. If you'll reread the first few paragraphs of my article, you'll see that my nearly 60 years of Christianity was spent in churches I still respect, congregations committed to the work of "the kingdom." I don't happen to believe in a god that exists or possesses consciousness, or believe that anybody needs a savior to redeem them from damnation, but I'm still fully on board with the humanistic ideals of those churches and those Christians. I'm happy now in my UU Fellowship, which eschews all creeds but shares a set of principles that happen to coincide with those of nearly all religions.
