Thank you, Dr. Graham, for this informative article. I was not aware of the IDW, but I have become increasingly aware in recent years of the seductive pseudointellectualism that continues to excuse institutionalized injustice. Yes, this surely is the enemy.

Still, even though I personally have committed to pursuing an antiracist agenda in my teaching, and I have long held the belief that if you aren't part of the solution, you're part of the problem, I wonder if it's really helpful to sort all our fellow human beings into those 2 categories.

Most individuals, I think, are too caught up in simply trying to get through the day to give a lot of thought to this or any other cause. They aren't bad, and when events like the murder of George Floyd wake them up, they may self-confront and change their attitudes and look for ways to act upon their conscience, even if it's only by voting.

It's always been the dedicated few who change the world and rock the power structure. I don't think it's fair or accurate to call the rest all racists.
