Thank, Linda. Looks like it's time to broaden my horizons.

Medium is my first experience of getting paid for my creative work, aside from minor prizes in poetry contests. But I've been here 13 months and earned about $8K without bothering to learn SEO or set up social media accounts to link, and most of that time I was too busy working on my MFA to post any articles.

But now that's finished and I need my words to pay my bills, so I'll definitely be checking out those writing challenges.

BTW, any other sites you'd recommend, since it doesn't sound like newsbreak is a great place for creatives?
