Reading eagerly, imagining your life with no small degree of envy. Not that it sounds easy--who wants that?--but because you're getting such a balance of solitude and connection. Family gatherings are heart food, but partying with strangers is the shitz. Hiking in the Southwest, writing when you need to bring the books back into balance, long conversations with yourself or whoever else happens to be in your head.
Yes, your age is shocking, from my vantage point. I remember the way I was welcomed by the poets (ages 17-60+ but mostly 20-30) in the spoken word community when I joined them in my 50s. No question I belonged to them. Art bound us.
