Oddly enough, Matt, the more time I'm spending with this subject (responding to so many comments), the more I am coming around to your position. I despise the path they're on, and as a lifelong feminist I see their misogyny as an affront to all that I hold sacred, but I don't think they have "chosen" this path in any realistic sense. They have experienced rejection, and they have not been adequately mentored or supported by families or other social institutions, and now they are being radicalized by the voices in the Reddit echo chamber.
