Much to love in this little poem. The repeated line is quite effective, and I the pattern of the verses provides a coherent structure for the theme to develop within. Excellent use of concrete detail, especially since so much of it is tactile and kinesthetic--sensory channels many poets overlook.

Best thing, I think, is the contrast, like a little volta in every verse, between the depressive refrain and the joie de vivre provided by the snippets of life.
