Men of an earlier generation benefitted from a different standard with regard to efforts in the kitchen. It's like the old saying about a dancing bear: "It's not about how well he dances."

These days, I wonder about any man who hasn't learned how to prepare a meal for company. I've got 35 jars of spices on my rack (that I built because I needed one) and use them all.
