Love it. I read Kesey 50 years ago, then Wolfe, Kerouac, Cassidy. Scarred me for life, in the best possible way. Tell the truth and take no prisoners.
Only thing I have to call you on is what you say about poetry slam and SW artists. Of course some of them preach, and some perform for reasons having more to do with ego. In what branch of art do you not find such individuals? But every slam or open mic I visited (and I'm talking hundreds) also had the other kind, the poets who refused to speak a word without conviction. For them, it really was the truth or bust.
