LOL Propaganda? That's a new one. Who's the band that benefits from my explaining why I walked away from a church I loved and people I admired?

It's not about the problems in the church, which are, as you say, nothing new. It's about what the Christian Church in the US has come to stand for. Not all Christian churches--I explained that--but the church as a political institution.

I did what I could, as a leader in several liberal congregations, to help those churches be what a good church can be, oases of compassion and advocates for social justice. Which they are and will continue to be.

What action will I take? The action of walking away and publicly explaining why.
