I've managed to trigger a few trolls. I'm male but an outspoken feminist, antiracist, and ex-Christian, and my articles and comments frequently get a fair amount of attention, so here they come. Bless their hearts.

Like you, I have no problem engaging with those who disagree, and I don't mind admitting when someone catches me in a contradiction or an inadequately researched argument. I often learn a lot from comments, and sometimes I am forced to dig a little deeper and reconsider my own beliefs.

But the real trolls have nothing to contribute. If they read beyond the headline, it's superficial and with minimal comprehension. They ridicule me for my education. They are gnats.

All in a day's work. That's what we get for being writers.
