I've been out of the dating world for some years, but I know all about the ick. It affects my choices in friends and associates, and it is in no way sex- or gender-dependent. A few items that come readily to mind, in no particular order:

Doesn't read books.

Anti-feminist.

Racist or otherwise prejudiced.

Lacking basic social graces.

Preoccupied with their cell phone.

Obsessed with social media.

Habitually angry and/or confrontational.

Neglectful of health, hygiene, or appearance.

Resistant to personal accountability.

Dishonest.
