Is it possible to create--to do creative things--and yet not be creative? Or to write as beautifully as you do without great creativity?

I marvel at the creativity on display in a book like Tom Robbins's "Skinny Legs and All" or a painting like Salvador Dalí's "Hallucinogenic Toreador." But still I wonder how much of that inventive genius is just a matter of being unusually open to something that is present in us all. And how much is the discipline to master the skills necessary to bring one's vision to the light.

Drawing is, in my mind, a magic I will never comprehend. And sadly, I am almost convinced it's one I will never personally experience, though one of the courses you have named might make it happen.

But creativity is life.
