In the 18 years since I realized that I was more a writer than anything else, years in which my world has been primarily populated by fellow writers, the proportion of my friends and associates who are LGBTQIA has swelled significantly, and the "L" is the largest fraction of that group.

I used to think I knew some things about what lesbians were like, like the thing about the U-Haul. But the more L-type individuals I get to know, the more I question every trope I've ever heard.

Great article. I hope a lot of people read it.
