I'm with you, Rachel. Can't imagine finding much to talk about with anyone who can't see the importance of issues like threats to the planet, disparities of wealth and power, racism and patriarchy. I won't date anyone I can't respect.

The people I feel sorry for are my female friends whose husbands used to be reasonably moderate but have lately fallen into trumpism. These women are loath to give up on partners (and coparents) whom they love, but their marriages cannot help being strained by such incompatibility of core beliefs.
