I'm afraid you and I are voices crying in the wilderness, or King Canute commanding the tide not to rise. "Figuratively" is now an accepted definition for "literally," and "irregardless" is becoming acceptable among many who should and do know better.
Me, I'm still smarting over "alright" becoming an acceptable spelling for "all right." That bothered me much more than "ain't," which irked my parents' generation.
Language keeps evolving. We don't have to, like, it. But we may as well get used to it.
