I wonder if the people who plan some of these youth "mission" trips ever really think about what they are teaching the teens about the church's priorities. Maybe they assume the kids will be too excited about just going on a trip to pay attention to the shallowness of the so-called mission.

Of course, if you really buy into their notion of saving souls, then naturally that would be more important than making life easier for their bodies. I just find that logic unpersuasive.
