I will say this as gently as possible: there is ZERO evidence that religious attitudes or observance makes people better thinkers. There is a great deal of evidence, on the other hand, that people who define truth in religious terms are easily manipulated.

If you have not learned the difference between beliefs and truth, you are part of the problem.
