OTOH, if t here's a chance he really is so clueless as not to see the difference between posting nudes (with warnings) for your followers versus a dick pic send to your personal email (why not publicly to that same audience?) then maybe mercy is necessary.

Ironic--the responsible ones are constrained by ethics. But that's what "freedom" meant to the founders of the US: the freedom to do the right thing according to their conscience.
