I look forward to Saturday morning visits to one of our two “certified” (meaning truly local) farmers’ markets here in Conway, Arkansas. Where else am I going to find a tomato like the ones I used to grow in my own garden back in North Carolina. The kind you slice to make a sandwich (white bread, mayo, S&P, tomato — eat it at the sink or else outside).

Those who insist on getting everything as cheaply as they can deserve the tasteless produce of the supermarket.
