I felt an overwhelming sadness, reading this. Because I know this kind of connection is possible--I've been in that kind of partnership before. And once you've been there, everything short of that connection is intolerably lonely.

And what has come of us--humanity--in recent years? Where has this malignant myth come from that keeps male and female people from perceiving just how much we are the same?
