I fell in love with Butler's "Xenogenesis" years ago but then read nothing of hers till last year, when one of my MFA profs assigned "Kindred" as well as Tananarive Due's "My Soul to Keep." I'll have to buy both the "Parable" books right away, and probably the rest of your list.

First I'm going to read Nisi Shawl's article, and then I'm off to the bookstore.
