I don't do social media, unless Medium counts. I don't own a TV. I just parked on my computer and listened to my favorite commentators. It was just as bad.

I remember how it was before. My first presidential vote was for Jimmy Carter. That was still in the days before Fox turned news into a branded commodity, so everybody drank facts from the same well and argued what to do about them.

Yeah, Tuesday was rough, and Wednesday not much better. Now I'm feeling better, not wondering where to emigrate to, and telling myself at least we're going to have a chief executive soon who's actually interested in doing the work of a president. My life expectancy is probably a year less than it was a week ago, and my wine rack needs replenishing, but I think we're going to get our country back.
