I didn't read your previous article as endorsing Christianity. I did think you were coming down harder than necessary on the atheists, as if they were the main aggressors in the culture wars.

But yeah, you kind of kicked a hornets' nest. My recent experience tells me there is no safe foxhole, no position so moderate and reasonable that some people on both sides won't misread it and attack you for it.
