Great writing, as always. The poetry is always in the details, and you give the details here that bring the issue into sharp relief, even to an oldish person who never had a uterus to care for.

Like so much of what you write, this brings to front and center the politics of female bodies. I hope it gets a lot of views. These are things I didn't know but needed to, and I believe my ignorance is sadly typical.
