Full claps for pointing out how Epicurus got a bad rap from those who didn't understand his teachings. Unfortunate that you promote a similar misunderstanding of the Stoics.

The essence of Stoicism is found in the Serenity Prayer, which most people know. It's not about being manly by enduring pain, but about being sane by accepting the reality of things you have no power to change. It's good psychology and a sound basis for ethical living.
