Excellent article, Renata, well reasoned and well explained. As always.
Dating can be fun, even when romance does not develop, if we approach it with a healthy attitude. Which is exactly what you're promoting.
My main objection to the online approach--which BTW I've taken and enjoyed--is that the current version (Tinder) emphasizes looks much more than words. I enjoyed reading profiles on Match, and I reached out to women where I saw potential for great conversation.
When we only date the people we are immediately attracted to, we are likely to miss great matches who fall outside our past experience (e.g. different racial groups) and wonderful personalities whose beauty doesn't make them photogenic.
