Don't think I ever got onto the old 66 sections of I-40, but I do remember what the countryside was like crossing AZ and NM on a Honda CB450. Just a little ways north of Albuquerque is one of my favorite parts of the USA, the country around Santa Fe and Taos.

But my adventures--even in imagination--never turned out quite like yours. Keep driving, girl. A dirty mind would be an awful thing to waste.
