"At least for ourselves." That's the point, isn't it? We demand that we be given what we deserve--which I regard as my worst nightmare--but are indifferent to that same demand when others voice it. And governments tend to be fine with the wealthy getting far more than they earn.

We aspire to make life less unfair, but how many of us are willing to divide the pie more equally if that means we don't get as much?
