And yet they still don't know, in far too many cases. Because the messages they pick up from the media and by osmosis from the attitudes within their social milieu are still conflicting and confusing. And because a 16-year-old is still a child.

And because too many parents and teachers don't know how to talk about consent, not wanting to tell girls (or boys) they have the right to say no to any sexual activity, because that might imply they also have the right to say yes to sex.
