A Winston-Salemite since 1980, I lived for a while just 6 blocks from the spot (6th Street and Broad) where that bit of magic first happened. So much fat and sugar, it just had to be a Southern treat.

But the magic only lasts while they're still hot. A cold KK is as sad as a supermarket tomato.
