A similar attitude, expressed in a single comment, inspired one of my early viral articles, "The Friend Zone is a Lie." The commenter said he didn't want to waste his time, and if nothing happened in the first 2 weeks he would give up and move on.

That's so bizarre to me. When you take your time getting to the yes, the final step across the threshold is a glorious celebration, affirming who each other is because you have chosen with your eyes wide open. Sex is more than just sex, because you're making love to more than one another's bodies.

Honestly, it makes me sad for men who don't know how to make friends with a woman but still want to have sex with them. They'll never know how much they're missing out on.
