95% positive, I suspect, is about as good as it gets. And for an enterprise the size of Illumination, it's remarkable.
Envy from competitors for your success is inevitable. Not all of them have your commitment to good manners. Nor do all have the good sense to recognize that publication is not a zero-sum game.
Trolls are inescapable. Even here on Medium, where rules require a modicum of civility, some people will throw shade at everything and everyone. I won't guess at the psychology behind such deliberate rudeness, but I suspect they would be (appropriately) embarrassed to say what they say face to face.
It's always wise to learn from one's detractors, when the criticism is sincere. I doubt that is the case for most of them on Medium, however, as it seems to me you are a force for good, and you have earned the respect and gratitude of all the thousands of writers you have published.
Finally, congratulations on the spectacular success of I-C!
